Assembly kits Assembly kits
The Councils of assembly of kits resin or white-metal.

Preparation :

For the parts resin or white-metal to use a standard knife of model making blade holder as well as smooth files and to follow to the letter as usual the note of assembly without forgetting to provide itself with photographic documents essential.

To stop the holes and other imperfections, to use a cement very fine polyester for completion body.

To sandpaper with an abrasive paper usable with water with grain 600 or 800, then to carry out an assembly with white of all the parts and to adjust necessary without forgetting to carry out all drillings (windscreen wiper, aileron, antenna...).

So certain resin parts are slightly deformed, to soak them in tepid water or to gently heat them using a hair drier.

After having degreased the parts with a little acetone using a brush or a small brush resistant to hydrocarbon (especially not to let the resin parts soak inside), certain resin parts require a soapy washing (liquid crockery perhaps used for this operation) bus sometimes acetone is not enough, to renew necessary the operation.

Provide you with gloves latex in order not to touch directly with the skin the parts not to oxidize them or make them fatty.

To use a scissors or small very fine cutting pliers (personally I use a nail-clippers, but it is you who see...) to cut the photo-cut out parts and a smooth file to finicky.

The least pleasant stage, the cutting of the panes, not to haggle over the quality and the price of the scissors if you want a beautiful result of assembly and fitting.

Scissors nail-clippers with bent end is ideal for curved cuttings, other scissors with right end for other cuttings without forgetting to provide itself with a smooth file to finicky.

Caution !!! Better is worth to cut out without too much starting towards the interior of the pane the line of cut in order not to find itself short on the site of the pane and to be able to adjust with the file.

Joining :

For the assembly certain parts in white-metal, the arch of safety for example, you can use a soldering iron with tin.

For the assembly of parts between them out of resin or white-metal, to use an adhesive of the type cyanoacrylate (fast joining but station with the traces and the vapours), neoprene, epoxy but also the woodworking glues, it is with you to see.

For the transparent panes and other parts, to use a washable adhesive with water or transparent varnish "Humbrol" or of another mark, and even the paste which become translucent while drying of mark "Tron" makes the deal well but the catch is slow. In certain cases nail varnish it of Madam can be also useful for the joining of the glazings.

Caution!!! To use much adhesive is not synonymous with a good joining on the contrary they are very bad, for example with the cyanoacrylate the value of a large drop as a pinhead is largely sufficient, to use it for the panes is a operate very risky bus attention with the traces, to try nevertheless to avoid its use for the glazings.
